POCUS UK is an independent and inter-specialty group of practicing clinicians with expertise in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). We believe that POCUS is an extension of our clinical assessment and can improve patient care and safety. Our ambition is to help democratise POCUS and collaborate across specialties to transcend silos and monopoly.
Our vision is that one day every clinician will be using POCUS as part of standard care, as well as having access to an appropriate machine and supervision/accreditation pathway.
We are on a journey to unite POCUS knowledge and bring together as much expertise in the field as possible to help create a community and content that revolves around improving patient care.
Our aim is to deliver up-to-date, free open access, curated, peer-reviewed POCUS educational content with a particular focus on Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and Acute/Internal Medicine (but also relevant to anyone interested in this exciting and innovative field).
Please note that all cases have been anonymised and clinical details altered in compliance with The Royal College of Radiologists’ “Guidance on the use of patient images obtained as part of standard care for teaching, training and research”).
